Last summer we were aching for a creative release, and Emily and I had a crazy idea. I had a dress left from a styled session the summer before, and we had a gorgoeus creek location neither of us had used before. Why not swim around in dresses? So Emily pulled together her own outfit, we put together some greenery crowns, and set our alarms for the wee hours of the morning.

It started with a silly idea, what does a merman do when the beaches and pools are closed and he has to social distance? And immediately I thought of an image, a merman lounging in our tiny kiddie pool.

So earlier this week I discovered that J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter was celebrating its 20th Annivesary! I also realized that I had the perfect photoshoot to share with you today to mark the occasion.

Last fall my wonderful sister-in-law modeled for me in an Alice in Wonderland styled photoshoot. I absolutely love how these photos turned out and have been looking forward to the oppurtunity to share them in blog post form.
